Green Island School employs specialist teachers of te reo Māori me ona tikanga (Māori language and culture). All classes have lessons for children to explore these unique taonga of New Zealand.

Cultural awareness and understandings are key to being a competent 21st Century citizen of our global world. We are exceptionally proud of our two Kapa Haka groups. Ana, our specialist teacher, use traditional and contemporary waiata, working with the children to create innovative performances.
