The New Entrant classroom has many small areas filled with activities which enrich the children’s developing skills. These have been created with the children and provide choice and support.
Links from the learning they have experienced in their early childhood education and school are easily made. These areas provide a way for children new to school to feel successful by demonstrating all of the things they can already do. Children who have been at school for some time, can be leaders by showing others what they have learnt since beginning school. These experiences provide opportunities for rich conversations and reinforcing all the great learning that has been taking place.
